Community Consolidated School District 62 in Des Plaines, Illinois is seeking an 8th Grade Math Teacher at Chippewa Middle School to cover for a leave of absence. The leave coverage will be from approximately April 27, 2026 - end of the school year.

Qualifications:

1. Completion of a Bachelor's degree or higher from an accredited college or university. 2.Current valid Illinois Professional Educator Licence with appropriate endorsement. 3. ELL/ESL Endorsement is preferred. 4. Experience as a middle school teacher is preferred.
District Information:

District 62 has approximately 4,800 students in grades preK-8 in 8 elementary schools, 2 middle schools, 1 early learning center, and 1 year-round, K-8 school.
Compensation Information:

District 62 substitute teachers earn $165 per day if they hold an Illinois PEL and $155 per day if the hold a substitute license. Annual bonuses are given based on the number of days worked. This position does not include benefits.
