Program Analyst

Incumbent is a Program Analyst for one or more of the following Regional programs and activities in the Office of Aerospace Medicine:
Airman Medical Certification, Aviation Medical Examiner (AME) Designee Management, and the Air Traffic Control Specialist (ATCS) Health.Incumbent works closely with the flight surgeons to assure the following:
(1) medical certifications are issued to medically qualified airmen only, (2) an appropriate number of qualified physicians are selected, designated and trained as AMEs to conduct FAA medical examinations of civil airmen, and (3) ATCS physical exams meet program requirements. Incumbent ensures all activities are performed in accordance with established regulations. This position may require travel in support of these program areas.FV-0343-F Duties:
Incumbent will assist the lead analyst by providing input for communicating technical program information to a diverse audience. Assures program follows guidelines to be compliant with all Quality Management System (ISO-9001) requirements.Incumbent performs basic but progressively more difficult assignments under the close direction of the manager.Applies basic knowledge applicable to programs within the Aerospace Medicine Division to plan and accomplish assignments. Typical assignments may include:
collecting and recording data/information; conducting research; identifying problems; and assisting higher-level professionals in day-to-day operations.Coordinates with a manager, project/program manager, team leader, or more experienced professional to plan time and use assigned resources to accomplish tasks.Work is reviewed regularly during assignments and at completion to ensure timeliness, policy compliance, and alignment with the requirements of the project or other work activity.FV-0343-G Duties:
Incumbent may provide technical direction to other personnel in the division as well as communicating technical program information to a diverse audience. Incumbent complies with all Quality Management System (ISO-9001) requirements.Incumbent performs a combination of routine and multiple and varying assignments under the general direction of the manager.Applies experience and detailed knowledge applicable to programs within the Aerospace Medicine Division to plan and accomplish assignments. Typical assignments may include:
collecting and analyzing data/information; conducting research; applying policies and procedures; identifying problems; and working with higher-level and lower-level professionals in day-to-day operations.Applies analytical techniques in reviewing, interpreting, and summarizing medical information and documents. Analyses is conducted to ensure proper program integration and conformance to policy, completeness, and adequacy of operations in meeting goals and objectives.Work is typically reviewed frequently during assignments and at completion to ensure timeliness, policy compliance, and alignment with the requirements of the project or other work activity. Reference OPMs Group coverage Qualification Standard for Administrative and Management Positions.TO QUALIFY AT THE FV-F (FG/GS 5-9) level, you must demonstrate in your application that you possess at least three (3) years of progressively responsible general work experience demonstrating the ability to analyze problems to identify factors, gather pertinent data/information, recognize problems and/or solutions, plan and organize work and effective communication. At least one (1) year of experience must be equivalent to the FG/GS-4 level work in the administrative, professional, technical, investigative or comparable work area.OREducation Substitution:

Specialized Experience is experience that has equipped you with the particular knowledge, skills, and abilities to perform successfully the duties of the position.SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE may include but is not limited to:
Work involving health monitoring and data tracking systems, and experience involving medical standards monitoring and evaluation programs. Experience participating in site visits, identifying problem areas and providing recommendations for improvement. Experience applying medical knowledge and terminology in program management.ORPh.D. or equivalent doctoral degreeOR3 full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to such a degreeORLL.M., if related, from an accredited college or university.ORCombination education and experience may be qualifying for this position. Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
